Do I need a referral?
If you would like to obtain the full specialist rebate from Medicare you will need a current referral letter from either your GP or another specialist. A GP referral is valid for 12 months unless written by another specialist of which is valid for 3 months. We will make every effort to keep you up to date with the status of your referral but would like you to recognize that it is your responsibility to ensure you have a valid and current referral.
How long will it take?
Please expect to be with us for 60-90 minutes. We recognize that your time is valuable, and we make every effort to run on time. Occasionally additional testing and emergency patients require a little more time, and these cause scheduling delays beyond our control. We apologize if we keep you waiting.
Payment Options
All fees are payable at the time of your consultation. We can electronically submit your claim direct to Medicare for your rebate to be deposited into your nominated bank account registered with Medicare. We accept cash, EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard & AMEX.
What if I have my period on the day of my appointment?
Most appointments and examinations will not be affected by the onset of bleeding. An exception to this would be a Pap Smear. If you are concerned call the office to see if your appointment needs to be rescheduled. Please be assured that such situations will be catered for in a sensitive manner.
